Filpo internal filterHere are three models of the Italian firm Wave Filpo internal filter to choose the most appropriate for your aquarium. Any of them can be installed in freshwater or saltwater tanks. Filpo is a pump with filter installed in the aquarium with two interchangeable cartridges filter loaded. One of them has a sponge porous that acts as a mechanical barrier to the large particles that remain suspended in the water. This sponge also serves as a substrate for the development of beneficial colonies of bacteria which carried out biological filtration. For conservation you must take care to wash the sponge with water at room temperature and do not disinfect. Another cartridge contains coal, which is the medium of choice for the chemistry of water filtration that removes substances which produce odor and colored water. In addition to these two stages of filtration, Filpo filters incorporate a bomb with venturi system to mix air with water already filtered, thereby the oxygenation and the quality of the water of the Aquarium.
