Black Box filter

This is an internal filter of austere and simple design that is disguised to the wall of the Aquarium. Is the black box of the Italian firm Wave.

The BLACK BOX model is high filter capacity and is recommended for aquariums up to 100 litres. It comes equipped with pump and filter materials. It also comes prepared to stay inside a heater Thermo (not included). Black Box filter

The filter consists of 3 stages of filtration:

mechanical filtering: is composed of two types of sponge, a thick and a thin that act as a sieve yretienen first larger dirt and then small, and water passes to the next stage without macroscopic impurities that can obstruct the operation of other media.
chemical filter: activated carbon is a material which adsorb substances which produce odor and give color to the water; also medicines and contaminants dissolved in the water. It is very effective and leaves no residue in the water.
biological filtering: the shape of ceramic multiplcan the surface area available to settle colonies of bacteria beneficial to the Aquarium. Through a biological process, these bacteria transform ammonia and nitrites into nitrates, which are very toxic and are maintained at acceptable values by simple partial changes of water or the activity of the plants and the aquarium fish.

The outflow of water creates a gentle current that keeps the aquarium water in motion, creating a more natural environment for the fish and the plants and favoring the oxygenation.
