Royal Canin RecoveryThis is a wet food specially formulated for dogs and cats recovering recovery, have reduced appetite and requiring that you provide them a high amount of protein and calories. Additional information: Usually presenting increasingly more 2 energy levels in hospitalized cats and dogs: Level 1: cats and convalescent dogs confined in a cage It is recommended to achieve the energy requirements in sleep (r.e.m.) according to the formula: RER (in kcal/day) = 70 (body weight in kg) x 0.73 Level 2: active dog ending his period of convalescence or in maintenance. It is recommended to achieve the energy requirements in maintenance (r.e.m.) according to the formula: Dog: REM (in kcal/day) = 132 (weight in kg) x 0.73. The quantity of feed should be re-evaluated in accordance with the clinical evolution of the animal. In the case of anorexia, it is recommended a program of progressive feedback: Anorexia by < 3 days: plan to meet the requirements in 3 days: day 1: 1/3 of the requirements, day 2: 2/3 of the requirements, day 3: complete requirements. Anorexia by > or = 3 days: plan to meet the requirements in 5 days: day 1: 1/4 of the requirements, day 2: 1/2 of the requirements, day 3: 2/3 of the requirements, day 4: 3/4 of the requirements, day 5: total requirements.
