Nutritional tips
His wealth is, without doubt, one of the most attractive features of the Shih Tzu. Their affluence is one of the most outstanding characteristics of the breed. The hair is long and thick, with a dense Undercoat which needs to be brushed at least once a day.
Allergies are a growing problem in industrialized countries. The dogs, which live in the same environment, are no strangers to them. The sensitive skin of Shih Tzu reacts, sometimes with excessive virulence against aggressions against the immune system caused by the presence of environmental allergens such as pollen or dust mites.
The race is also famous for its longevity. Breeders claim that Shih Tzu dogs can live over 15-17 years, still their 13.4 years life span.
