Tropical Coco Husk substrate Exo Terra Coco Husk is made from compressed coconut husk from the plantations of tropical Asia. This ecological substrate is ideal for increasing humidity in the terrarium. Being a 100% natural product it is not harmful if ingested and is totally safe for frogs, salamanders and burrowing or digging animals. It is ideal for natural terrarium set-ups and creates a fabulous background for plants, while it adds nutrients to the soil. Place a layer as thick as you wish on the terrarium floor. Then spot clean as needed and change monthly or more frequently, depending on the thickness of the substrate, the cage size and the number of animals using it. This very light and loose substrate is available in 650 g packages.
